Beginners are Welcome!

Students in a Mysore yoga room include beginners, intermediate and advanced level students all practicing together.  Mysore-style yoga is self-paced. Postures are taught one by one, at a pace most appropriate for each student’s needs and fitness level The teacher guides her students, posture by posture, each in his/her own time in a way that supports each practitioner, both on and off the mat.

The self-paced nature of the Mysore method offers a unique environment for learning and insight into the physical body and beyond and promotes the deep exploration of how each pose affects the body-mind connection. Careful guidance from an experienced  teacher helps to cultivate confidence in the body and clarity in the mind, making space for transformation to happen.
