Moon Phases

 Moon Phases

In the Ashtanga tradition we observe both the new and full moon by taking a break from our physical practice. Due to our watery nature, we are very affected by the phases of the moon.  The full moon is linked with higher intensity and the new moon is more associated with physical exhaustion.  For this reason on moon days we take a break from our regular asana practice.

In observance of the moon, the shala will be closed on the below dates.
